Surrey Minor Hockey Association organizes players from the ages 5 - 20
to play hockey for the sport of it. The association draws its players
from an area that encompasses the north west part of the City of Surrey
in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Our home games are primarily played at the North Surrey Recreation Centre, Newton Recreation Centre, and Surrey Sport & Leisure Centre.
Surrey MHA Elections
Elections for the Surrey Minor Hockey Association Executive Council positions will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Surrey Sports and Leisure Centre (7:00pm).
Nominations can be sent via e-mail to email@example.com.
These elections will abide by Surrey MHA policies and procedures.
All returning players are able to print out their own tax receipts directly from Hockey Canada Registration site.
If you registered a new player for the 2013-2014 season, you may request that a receipt be emailed to you.

Atom A1 Thunder win RED FM most "likes" contest
RED FM sent the entire team to the 2014 Tim Horton’s Heritage Classic Game on March 2nd, 2014 at BC Place Stadium. Thank you to RED FM for the wonderful time!
Surrey MHA gives out various awards at the end of season. If you would like to nominate a player, a coach or a volunteer, please send an email to the Awards Committee with the following information:
- The name and team name (if possible) of the person being nominated
- The name of the Award
- A short description on the reasoning for the nomination
- Your name and contact information
Each nomination will be reviewed by a committee comprised of Executive members past and present, as well as coaching staff and members at large and will be held strictly confidential .

Attention Coaches: Post Tasks for Developmental 1 and Hybrid
The Developmental 1 Post Task work book is to be mailed off to BC Hockey 6671 Oldfield Road, Saanichton BC, V8M- 2A1. Photo copy your work first to ensure you have duplicates.
Hybrid clinic post task needs to be signed off by the Coach Coordinator and the President of the Association.
Final date for post tasking signing is Tuesday, February 25 from 7:30pm-8:30pm at Newton Arena.
BC Hockey Scholarships 2013-2014 Season
BC Hockey scholarships are awarded annually to deserving recipients who are in their graduating year of high school and are presently registered members with BC Hockey or former members playing in the Western Hockey League. All BC Hockey members are eligible including officials, players, coaches, and volunteers. The eligibility criteria and application procedures are set out on the application forms. The application must be received by BC Hockey by April 30, 2014.
Last day of ice coming soon
Time has certainly flown this season. Friday, March 14 will be the final day of team practices. On March 15, the Initiation Tournament begins.

Reimbursement for courses
If you've taken a course like Respect in Sport, HCSP, Hybrid, or Developmental 1 to become a team official, please download and complete an Expense Voucher. Send the completed voucher and all receipts to the Treasurer.
Important: For reimbursement for the Hybrid and Developmental 1 courses, you must complete the post task.
